Rapid antigen at-home test availability in British Columbia
On April 11, 2022, the process for picking up government-issued Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test kits in BC will change. Customers are no longer required to provide a BC Services card number to receive a kit. The tests will be available on a first come first served basis at the pharmacy. BC residents ages 18 years and over can pick up a kit for themselves, family members, or friends who need assistance. For more information on the program visit Rapid antigen testing kits - Province of British Columbia (gov.bc.ca). These at-home-tests are not sufficient for travel purposes as they must be administered by a laboratory, healthcare entity, or telehealth service to be considered valid. For more information on Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing for work or travel requirements visit Covid-19 Information for British Columbia - London Drugs Pharmacy For at-home test instructions, please refer to this document from the BC Centre for Disease Control.
