COVID-19 Vaccinations
Updates for Alberta – April 8, 2024
The Alberta public Spring COVID-19 campaign will begin on Monday April 15.
Appointments may be booked online through the London Drugs booking system, the Alberta Vaccine Booking System, or calling or visiting the pharmacy if you need help booking your appointment.
**Walk-in requests may be accommodated subject to availability.
COVID-19 Vaccine Formulations (based on availability)
Moderna Spikevax XBB.1.5
Pfizer Comirnaty XBB.1.5
Novavax XBB.1.5 (available only at Alberta Health Services clinics, call 811)
Effective April 15, 2024, the following individuals are eligible to receive an additional XBB.1.5 COVID-19 vaccine dose given six months or more from their last COVID-19 XBB.1.5 dose. It is also advised to wait at least 3 months from a positive test for COVID-19 infection:
Adults 65 years of age and older
Individuals 6 months of age and older with certain immunocompromising conditions
First Nations, Métis, and Inuit individuals 6 months of age and older, no matter where they live
Adults 18 years of age and older who reside in seniors congregate care living settings
Alberta residents 5 years of age or older who have never received an XBB.1.5 COVID-19 vaccine are also eligible to contact the pharmacy for vaccination.
To receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the pharmacy you must be:
A resident of Alberta with a valid Alberta Health Care Card
5 years of age and older
Minors under 18 years of age require written or verbal consent from a parent or guardian.
International students, visitors, or non-residents of Alberta:
May be eligible to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine
