Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing Clinics in Alberta
Fast, Accessible & Private COVID-19 Testing
Please note that COVID-19 travel requirements vary by country and are constantly changing; some countries may require a blood test. You may find more information about travel requirements on the IATA website.
COVID-19 Rapid Antigen tests are Health Canada approved and results are delivered within 15-20 minutes. The cost of each Rapid Antigen test is $30 + tax (if applicable).
What is a COVID-19 Testing Clinic?
Before London Drugs considered participation in this Asymptomatic testing program, we evaluated the safety of our staff first and foremost.
The emphasis needs to be made that this is for Asymptomatic individuals only. Prior to any testing, individuals interested in Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing will be screened by the pharmacists to assess eligibility. Eligibility for the test hinges on the individual having no known symptoms AND no known exposure to COVID-19.
It is important to note that anyone exhibiting any symptoms, or anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19, will be immediately referred to Health Link at 811, told to self-isolate and not come to the pharmacy.
What to know before your Clinic visit
The testing consists of a nasal or throat swab performed by a trained pharmacist and evaluated by laboratory partners led by clinical microbiologists.
In the event of a positive result, Public Health will be notified by the accredited lab, who will then be in contact with you directly.
